On Thursday 16th April a weekly youth club session returned to the Alvechurch Sports & Social Club. The relaxed spacious setting has proved very popular with our older members who have been rediscovering a love for darts and pool over recent weeks, and let’s not forget the big mad quiz.
“We like being in the social club because there is more room.” “And there are more things to do like darts and pool” M aged 15
"I never had anything to do before I started going to the Lounge. All my mates go every week, and there's always something for us to do" J aged 14
This session is for young people aged 14+ and takes place from 6pm to 8pm in the front room at the social club.
It's time, once again to show the Alvechurch bus shelter some love.
Help us brighten up the village by creating a brand new mural for the bus stop, near to The Lounge and village square.
Have you got a bike that needs repair?
Do you know how to repair a puncture or adjust your brakes?
At this new upcoming project you will learn how to repair and maintain your bike properly so that you are always able to ride your bike.
We are happy to announce that the popular youth diner is back at The Lounge. Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon between 3:30pm and 5:00pm the cafe at The Lounge will be open for the exclusive use of the young people after school.
So wether you are after a hot dog, milkshake, free internet access or simply want a place to chill out with your friends after school, The Lounge is the place to be!
The best of all the Youth Diner sessions are free until May 2015!
