Thanks to SCC and Technology Trust
We would like thank to Specialist Computer Centres in Birmingham for their kind donation of 3 computers for use by everyone in The Lounge. These were bought in, along with one already in place purchased by ACT, to replace the original 4 Windows XP machines, that were also originally provided by SCC. Combined with heavily discounted Microsoft licenses from the Technology Trust, it allows us to offer free high speed internet access, Microsoft Office 2013 and a host of other applications to both the Youth nights and Cafe users.
We are now a select charity on Top Cashback
For all of you that love to save money, we have now added Alvechurch Communities Together to the list opf places you can grab a bargain and at the same time, give a small amount to ACT in the process. Along with eBay and Easy Fundraising, we have made it easier to give while you save.
Once again, thanks to everyone for your continuing support.
Children's Nearly New Sale
We are holding a nearly new sale on the 14th of November.
Between 2pm and 4pm on the 19th of November, we will be holding a nearly new sale of children's clothes, books and toys, with all proceeds going to the youth work, at The Lounge. If you have any good condition items you would like to donate, please feel free to drop them off at The Lounge on the morning of the 14th as we don't have the storage space to put them.
Feel free to drop into the Lounge and grab yourself a bargain in time for Christmas.
New Website Live
It's here, the new website!
The new website has finally arrived, a little later than hoped, but we hope you like it. All the content from the old one has been carried across and this one will be updated to bring it up to date over the next couple of weeks.
Other than "boring" technical reasons to perform the update, the new website will workmuch better on mobiles, tablets and modern browsers.
We've gone for a more simplified design, making it easier to find your way around, cutting out much of the things that didn't focus on the core principles of the charity. We've added a Facebook feed for those of you that don't have accounts and for those of you that do, you'll find it easier to go back over past posts.
The site is still a little bit of an "in progress" update, so please feel free to let us know, via the contact form, if you come across any bugs, or errors on the pages, as we may of missed them.
As always we'd like to thank you for the ongoing support and look forward to hearing from you.
