The Lounge’s Publicity Events Manager provides an update on recent activities.
Hi! I’m Martyna Agar, Publicity Events Manager for [email protected] The Lounge on the Youth Management team – I am 14 years old.
I would like to update you on what we have been and will be doing at the Youth Club!
During February half term we took a group of 11 to 15 year olds on a trip to Cadbury World. The week before, we’d had a table top sale and raffle to raise money towards the trip and because of this we were able to go for only £10 per person with the money we raised paying the rest.
We also had a Valentine’s party for the 11 to 14 year olds with music, refreshments and games, and a movie night for the 14 to 18s.
Here at the youth club we arrange lots of fun events like these and are currently planning another trip for the Easter holidays – ice skating and bowling in Birmingham at the LeisureBox! The young people who come on the trip can bowl, ice skate, and also use the café and arcade.
For more information about this trip, come along to one of our youth sessions. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The trip costs £10 per person and is on Tuesday April 2.
The other thing we will be doing in the Easter holidays is having an activities/project day on Monday April 8, when we will be decorating the youth club and there will be some other arts and craft things to do too.
There will be two sessions, morning and afternoon, costing £2.50 for each session, and young people aged 11 to 18 can come to either or both. You don’t have to stay all day, but you can if you like – it will be lots of fun.
Look out for our next update where I will be able to tell you about how much money we raised for Comic Relief with our raffle and cake sales!
